Quinoa is very simple to prepare: you simply need to cook it in the same way as you would rice. While the amount of liquid required to achieve the perfect al dente texture varies, we recommend a volume of 1 ½ cups of water for 1 cup of white quinoa, and 2 cups of water for 1 cup of red or black quinoa. If you prefer a fluffier and tenderer texture, simply let the quinoa stand covered for 5 minutes, and the steam will eventually make it inflate perfectly every time.
Compared to other brands, high quality Royal GoGo Quinoa doesn’t need to be rinsed before it’s cooked. In our case, rincing the quinoa is only advised as a hygiene process. GoGo Quinoa is the only manufacturer to provide consumers with a renown quality process which ensures that 99.99% of the natural protective saponin coating is safely removed during a gentle cleaning process. It’s important to note that lower grade brands will contain a higher amount of saponin, which results in a bitter-tasting quinoa. For this reason, other low-quality brands highly recommend rinsing quinoa thoroughly before cooking it. Yet another great reason to enjoy the unmatched taste Gogo Quinoa provides.
