Dark chocolate Cake Mix.
This gluten-free cake mix was part of GoGo Quinoa tasters at the Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert of Montreal and Quebec. Not yet in stores, found exclusively on our online store for a special price of $6.
You will need:
1 package of GoGo Quinoa chocolate cake mix
3 eggs (or vegan alternative)
Vegan alternative: mix 3 tablespoons of freshly ground flax seeds with 9 tablespoons of filtered water, set aside 5 minutes
1 cup of milk ( or almond milk)
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of natural vanilla extract
We recommend adding: 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
1- Preheat oven at 350 ºF.
2- Pour the package of dry mix in a bowl. In a large measuring cup, blend milk, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Beat well and add to the dry mix. Stir to mix all ingredients.
3- Grease the bottom of the selected pan or line the bottom with parchment paper and pour batter.
You can also use a muffin pan lined with baking cups; filling them a little more than 3/4. (Yields 18 muffins).
4- Bake 25-30 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
5- Cool pan on a rack for 5-10 minutes. Remove cake from the pan and let cool completely.
If you wish to do a 2 layer cake with frosting, please use 2 round pans of 8 inches diameter and your favorite chocolate frosting recipe between both cakes and as a cover layer on top and around.
