GoGo Paleo Burger

Ingredients

4 large Portobello caps, stem removed

5 ounces of GoGo Quinoa Burger Mix

2.5 ounces of warm water

1/2 cup frest parsley finely chopped

2 green onions (white part only) thinly sliced

1 red and yellow pepper (optional)

For the marinade:

2 garlic cloves crushed

3 tablespoons tamari sauce

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika or chili powder

black pepper to taste 

Instructions

Marinate the mushroom caps with the tamari, garlic, maple syrup, paprika and black pepper for 15 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the burgers by mixing the burger mix, parsley and green onions with warm water and let sit for 5 minutes. If the mix seems a bit dry, you can add a little more water. Coat your palm with a little olive oil and form 2 nice big patties.

Heat olive oïl in a non stick pan and cook the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Grill the mushroom caps to taste ; and sliced peppers if using as garnish.

Let the Portobellos cool and gently press with a paper towel to remove any excess liquid to use them as a bun.

Top your burger with grilled peppers, lettuce and your favorite condiments.
